Nominations

This year's Alumni Awards are launched in recognition of alumni achievements or their contribution to the CERGE-EI community. The nominations that we received from members of the CERGE-EI community are listed below.

Note: one of the nominations could not be listed, as the person was nominated for her contribution to the CERGE-EI community during her study (not after graduation). Similarly, two other nominations had to be excluded because the nominees serve as current faculty members.

Jana Cahlíková (PhD in Economics, 2016)
Alumni achievement

Jana is currently a Senior Research Fellow (Postdoc) at the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance (Department of Public Economics) in Munich, Germany. She has recently coauthored an article on ethnic hostility, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS), which is one of the world's most-cited and comprehensive multidisciplinary scientific journals. She remains in close contact with CERGE-EI, volunteering in projects for prospective and current students (such as the Economics Discovery Hub).
