Careers & Alumni
CERGE-EI Alumni work in over 40 countries, applying their economics training to shape policy, research, and business. Graduates hold faculty positions at leading universities such as the Max Planck Institute, Tilburg University, and New York University; serve in senior roles at international institutions including the World Bank, IMF, EBRD, and OECD; and contribute to decision-making in government ministries, central banks, think tanks, and the private sector. Prospective students can connect directly with these professionals through a variety of events we organize for our current and prospective students.
Job Market candidates
At CERGE-EI, all PhD candidates on the job market receive guidance from a dedicated faculty advisor, who helps students prepare research presentations, refine applications, and navigate career opportunities in academia, policy, and the private sector. These CERGE-EI students are currently on Job Market.
