Medical Care & Insurance

Czech Republic has a system of publicly provided health care that is provided mostly free of charge with the exception of minor payments for doctor visits or drug co-payments. Health care insurance establishes access to the publicly provided care. CERGE-EI covers the health insurance on behalf of all its students. We are happy to assist you with this on an individual basis. The Study Affairs Office will provide more information after your admission to the program.

Counselling Services

The university will reimburse 100% of the first session in the month, 2/3 of the second one and 1/3 of the third session in the same month. The maximum amount that can be reimbursed to you for the sessions in one month is CZK 3,000 CZK. Students will pay for each session at independent center providing counselling and therapy (https://terap.io/) and then will be reimbursed by CERGE-EI after bringing the receipt to the Study Affairs Office.
