Research Brief Breakfast: Trust Under Pressure with Associate Professor Christian Ochsner
Trust can erode quickly during and after a crisis, especially when people feel that the state failed to protect them or was unable to do so. And the effects can last.
Using evidence from the 1918 influenza pandemic in Switzerland, the one-pager Trust Under Pressure explains how people’s experience of the crisis itself led some to comply with vaccination rules and others to resist them for more than a decade.
The presentation of the research one-pager, followed by a Q&A session, is open to registered attendees only.
