We are proud to announce the recipient of the Alumni Excellence Fellowship for 2021/2022: Jiří Grosman. Thanks to CERGE-EI’s Alumni and the Board of Nadace CERGE-EI for sponsoring this award and for their support. Our alumni fundraising call has raised three Alumni Excellence Fellowships since its establishment in 2019. 

Two of our Ph.D. Candidates, Michal Šoltés and William Appleman, will finish their studies at CERGE-EI in December. We wish them all the best with their defenses!

CERGE-EI celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Tomáš Zima, Rector of Charles University in Prague, wishes CERGE another successful 30 years of many prestigious projects and success in educating experts in economics.

"CERGE-EI`s emphasis on analytical thinking in my studies has influenced me the most," says Magdalena Morgese Borys, a PhD graduate from 2009, in an interview for the CERGE-EI blog.

The first MA in Economic Research Graduation took place on Friday November 19 at the historic halls of Karolinum. We wish our graduates all the best for the future.
