#AlumniLive Seminar with Jaroslav Borovička on Inflation Expectations and Monetary Policy

9 June, 2025

As part of the CERGE-EI #AlumniLive series, we were pleased to welcome back our alumnus Jaroslav Borovička from New York University.

The #AlumniLive series connects CERGE-EI students with alumni to foster networking and share insights into their career paths. The seminar was moderated by CERGE-EI PhD alumna Eva Hromádková, an analyst at the Czech National Bank.

In his talk, Jaroslav explored how expectations held by households and firms influence inflation, consumption, and employment.

Jaroslav Borovička is a CERGE-EI MA in Economics alumnus and one of the leading Czech macroeconomists. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at New York University.
