Paolo Zachia's Research Project Recommended for Primus Grant by Charles University

16 July, 2020

The Charles University Research Board recommended Paolo Zacchia's proposal, (Mis)matching to Suppliers in the Production Network: A New Framework for the Analysis of Industrial Policy, for funding from 2021 in the fifth round of the PRIMUS Research Programme.

Between 2021 and 2023, Paolo Zacchia, Ph.D., and his team will focus on a novel framework to study the extent of input misallocation within the production network of a single national economy.

This framework delivers an empirical toolkit for measuring the extent of buyer-supplier mismatch, the relative contribution of different factors that cause it, as well as evaluating the effect of different policies aimed at addressing the problem.

The Charles University Primus Research Program enables young researchers with international experience to establish new research groups and run their own independent projects during a period of 3-5 years. One of the long-term goals of the research program is to increase the success rate of the University in attracting major international grants (e.g., European Research Council – ERC grants).
