The Public Lecture by Oliver Hart Is Rescheduled

9 March, 2020

The public lecture by Nobel Laureate Oliver Hart (Harvard University) has to be rescheduled due to current travel restrictions.

"We were sorry to hear this news from Professor Hart, but if we take into account the current situation, it is understandable," said CERGE-EI Director Sergey Slobodyan. "I hope we will be able to announce the new date for his visit to Prague soon," he added.

The lecture was supposed to be held on Monday, March 16 at 11:00 at CERGE-EI.

Oliver Hart was awarded the Nobel Prize for his work on contract theory. Even though it is theoretical, his research has many practical applications. For example, when thinking about all basic types of agreement such as insurance contracts, purchase and loan contracts, or employment contracts.
