Congratulations to our newly graduated Master´s students at CERGE-EI. Their thesis projects show the breadth of questions explored in the Master in Economic Research program and the variety of methods and topics our students bring to economic research.

Blend Berisha studied how wartime violence in Kosovo shaped voting behavior after the conflict, examining the political legacy of violence in post-conflict settings.

Boris Gerát analyzed the risk channel of monetary policy and heterogeneity in the financial sector from 2017 to 2024, focusing on how financial institutions may respond differently to policy changes.

Rebeka Hoblik investigated how exposure to 19th-century tariffs influenced public discourse in newspapers, linking historical trade policy to the language and framing of protectionism.

Giovana Maggi Cardoso evaluated Italy’s Ecobonus Program, studying how financial incentives can affect sustainable mobility choices.

Petr Rusnok examined why ICT investment appears to matter less in Europe, connecting the question to financial structure and organizational investment.

René Sebastian González Munoz researched intertemporal consistency and performance in project realization outcomes, looking at how planning and execution align over time.

Together, these theses reflect careful work on politics, finance, economic history, environmental policy, technology, and project performance.

We congratulate all six graduates and look forward to seeing where they take their skills next.
