Congratulations to Our Alumni Excellence Fellowship Recipient Jose Gomez Castro

We are proud to announce that our second-year student, Jose Gomez Castro, has been awarded the 2024/2025 Alumni Excellence Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements.

This fellowship is funded by the CERGE-EI alumni community through the Student Support Fund. Established in 2019, the fund enhances student stipends, enabling recipients to focus fully on their studies while also attracting and supporting exceptional new talent to CERGE-EI.

The Alumni Excellence Fellowship is meant for newly enrolled students ranked as the very best by the Admission Committee and remains among the top quarter of the first-year cohort based on their cumulative GPA ranking. It can be awarded to second-year students who manage to pass the first-year general exams with a PhD pass and rank among the top three students of their study cohort.
