Volha Audzei Wins a František Vencovský Prize for Young Economists

CERGE-EI is proud to announce that Volha Audzei, a PhD student and junior researcher at CERGE-EI, was awarded a share of first prize in the 2015 Prof. František Vencovský Prize.

The Prize, named after Professor František Vencovský, a well-known Czech economist, is given biannually by the University of Finance and Administration to young researchers under 35 years of age. Volha's paper, titled “Information Acquisition and Excessive Risk: Impact of Policy Rate and Market Volatility” shares the first prize with a co-awardee, Hana Lipovská from Masaryk University, Brno.

Moreover, third place in the competition was taken by Jakub Matějů from CERGE-EI who recently won a Young Economist of the Year competition.
