Two CERGE-EI alumni, Hana Krejčí and Michaela Erbenová, have been included in Forbes magazine's annual ranking of the most influential women in the Czech Republic!

Hana Krejčí, who graduated from our PhD in Economics in 2002, is a Board member and director of finance at EP Industries, one of the most significant industrial groups in the country. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Nadace CERGE-EI. Hana has impressively placed 13th on the list!

Michaela Erbenová, a member of the first CERGE-EI cohort and a 1997 PhD in Economics graduate, currently works as the Deputy Director of the Institute for Capacity Development at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Previously, she was the IMF Executive Director for the Central European Region. Michaela is ranked 76th on this prestigious list.

Since 2012, Forbes has been recognizing women who significantly influence events in the Czech Republic through their roles in politics, the public sphere, business, philanthropy, and charities. This year’s list also features other notable women, including Charles University Rector, Milena Králičková, and the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Eva Zažímalová.

Join us in congratulating Hana and Michaela on their continued influence and contributions!
